Build Brand Authority

There is an entirely new flow of appreciation for user-generated content or UGC. Which is basically any kind of content that was posted by another user. The content can range from images and audio to text and videos.

This is so compelling because rather than attempting to influence your customers how great your brand is, you let your followers show off for you.

For example, you can take Starbucks’ famous #RedCupContest and see how that got customers to promote the brand.

During the holidays, Starbucks started the #RedCupContest inviting fans to post photos of their drinks for the opportunity to win a Starbucks gift card. The fans enthusiastically participated and raised over 35,000 photos of red cups last year.

You may not be as well known as Starbucks, which I don’t like, but you can give your viewers/customers to post about and raise your ranking and awareness.
